An idea from Reddish design studio, which upcycles old baths in retro chairs. The bathtub cut some pieces bent and finally added the legs. According to the creators, the result is surprisingly comfortable. If you try to do it yourself, make sure that your bath is made of metal and not porcelain!

Featherandspike’s 5 Minute Bath Salt Recipe
After filling my house with the unpleasant (at least, it is to me!) scent of sage, I thought I should make something to smell nice and balance things out. :) This recipe is quick, easy, smells awesome, and is very moisturizing! What You Need:
- Epsom Salts (or dead sea salt, whatever you prefer)
- Grapeseed oil (highly moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, good for all skin types)
- Lavender Essential Oil
- Purple Soap Colorant (you can get this at any craft store, like Michael’s)
- Mixing bowl and spoon
- Measuring cups
- Airtight container
My bath salts tin holds a little over 2/3 cup, so that’s how much I made.
Directions:
- Add 2/3 Cup Epsom Salts to a mixing bowl
- Measure 1/4 Tsp Grapeseed oil, mix with a spoon. Break up any clumps that form.
- Mix 5-6 drops soap colorant and mix. This gives a light lilac color to the salts. Again, break up any clumps.
- Add 6-9 drops of Lavender Essential Oil, until the mix is nice and fragrant.
- Stir it all up again, break up clumps, and put it in your airtight container.
- Add it to your bath and enjoy!
Notes:
As always, avoid getting the essential oil on your skin as this can cause sensitization. Do not use food coloring as thatwill stain your bathtub, and that’s no fun for anyone. If you are allergic to lavender or grapeseed oil, obviously, don’t use this recipe.Enjoy! :D
