Felt heart with embroidery tutorial.

Things you’ll need:

  • Felt (in any colour you like)
  • Stuffing
  • Needle/ Embroidery thread
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ribbon

First of all you’re going to cut out your heart shape, using any kind of template, it’s easy enough to draw yourself, or if you not so confident, print one out from the internet.
Once you’ve got your hearts cut out, you’re going to draw a rough/ light idea of the pattern you’re going to embroider. After you’ve got a outline to follow, pick out your preferred colours and thread you needle.
Now you’re done with your embroidery, and you are ready to start stitching up your heart. For this you can use whatever stitch you like, I chose a simple loop stitch.
Next when you’ve almost stitched the whole way around your heart, stop and leave a gap so you can stuff it. You only need a tiny amount of stuffing, just so it’s a little puffed.
Now all you need to do is finish stitching your heart and you’re all done!
I simply added a pink ribbon loop to the top/ middle of mine, so I am able to hang it up. This is easy enough to do, as you reach the middle of the heart while stitching it up, just add the ribbon underneath/ between the felt and sew through it so it is secure and in place, then keep on sewing.
I also added a little bow to match as a final detail. This project it easy and turns out super cute. You can customize this in many ways, change the colours or theme and it’ll still look adorable!
I hope that you enjoyed this little tutorial. Much love, Gabi :) ♥
