Tooooo Cute!! I saw recyled paper purses on overstock.com selling for close to $50. I searched for a DIY site and found http://candywrapperpurse.blogspot.com/. She has some great ideas and good how to instructions. Also, check out www.gumwrapper.com/build.htm for folding instructions.
DIY Embellished Bead and Flower Foil Clutch Tutorial from Trinkets in Bloom here. Lots of crafters seem to be using this padded foil (that you can buy at the Dollar Store, hardware stores etc…).
